Looking for puppy or young dog between ages 5 months and 1 year. Must be a male. Medium-large dog. No small breeds. Cannot be aggressive with small children. A high drive dog that needs to be moving or working several hours a day may not find they are happy here. A calmer temperament preferred for that reason. Following training is needed: Sit, stay, down House broken Breed limitations unfortunately still exist, making adopting any full breed or mix of the following prohibited where we live: Pitbull Terrier Rottweiler Doberman Chow Chow Akita Boxer Mastiff Willing to spend money on the right dog, but within reason. I have no use for papers so it's great if they have them, but I'm not trying to breed him or show him. If you're asking a breeder's fee, please don't contact me. I will drive to you or meet, whatever your preference is. I'm not in a huge hurry, so am willing to put a deposit on him if necessary to hold until April when we intend on adopting, if that's a possibility. However, the hope is to find a dog that fits right and can be adopted now. This dog will be a pet, but will also have a job. It is very important we find the right match. In no attempt to offend anyone or waste their time, but it's crucial that the dog and I can meet to get a feel for each other before finalizing any rehoming. Bonds are built but a lot can come from that initial meeting. I appreciate understanding on a post that seems so demanding. I'd be happy to discuss, update, and answer any questions you may have.
