Description

I have a beautiful male Alaskan Malamute. He is 16 months old and approximately 100lbs and will likely reach about 120lbs by full growth at 2 years old. He is house broken and potty trained. Up to date on all shots & neutered. Documents to provide for shots and neuter. He is a wonderful dog, but would likely do best in a home without young children as we rescued him and he has not learned how to safely play around them when he is hyper, which is often due to his size and breed. He is friendly with all children and people, he is just not aware of his size and we cannot seem to teach him how to appropriately play around the kids without accidentally scratching them or jumping on them. It is NOT aggression. He loves people and is very dog friendly. He would do best in a home without a cat. He is nice to cats and would not hurt them, but again, he doesn’t understand his size and that his playing is not something that small of a pet would enjoy. He does really well with other dogs of all sizes, but a mini size might not be ideal. He would be friendly but playtime would not be compatible. He needs to have a large fenced yard to run and play in. He absolutely demands activity and would not do well in an apartment or a home without a yard or the ability to be walked at least a mile or more daily. He does eat quite a bit and would require a home where he can regularly be fed about 6-8 cups of food daily, 3-4 cups per feeding. He will have a rehoming fee to ensure that he does go to a good home. He will come with his neuter and shot records, KONG XL crate, Kong Leash and Collar. Please call or text if seriously interested.
