Gaston Engineering & Surveying, P.C. is seeking a seasonal laborer for erosion control material installation and maintenance for various highway, bridge, and road construction projects. Laborers will be installing and maintaining erosion control such as silt fence, wattle, and other erosion control materials. There may also be come inspection of erosion control sites. Qualified candidate will have: A valid driver's license, motivated worker with the ability to work with little supervision, able to work outside in the elements safely, adhere to all safety rules and company regulations, able to perform repetitive and physical tasks, able to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically fit. Prior construction maintenance is helpful, but all levels of experience are welcome. This position is considered seasonal and the base wage is DOE and around $14-$15/hour. Installation wages from Western Federal Highways, MDT and COB projects are paid at the contracted Davis-Bacon wage rate for each project. Davis Bacon wages range from around $28-$36/hour. Expecting 30-40 hours per week through the summer and then maybe 20 hours/week in the fall but could vary. Please send your resume to P.O.
