Village Travel is currently seeking a weekend custodian position. The Part Time Custodian will report to the Cleaner Supervisor and will be responsible for the cleaning of the building which includes offices, shop, help with grounds maintenance and cleaning buses. This position is on Saturday and Sunday's working an 8 hour shift each day. Duties/Responsibilities: • Sanitize sink areas and toilet areas daily in the office restrooms, driver’s lounge restrooms, hotel room restrooms, and shop restrooms. • Restock paper products, empty trash, mop floors and wipe down mirrors in all restrooms. • Daily sanitize surfaces, reset chairs, empty trash, mop floor and vacuum in the employee break room, shop break room and driver lounge. • Daily vacuuming, sanitizing tables, reset of chairs, emptying of trashcans, cleaning of windows, and cleaning the kitchen in the departure center. • Front office cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning glass areas, wiping down ledges, upkeep of vending machine areas, mopping floors, emptying trash and dusting TVs. • Cleaning of the shop areas such as daily degreasing/sanitizing the mechanics computer areas, sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning the ice machine and coolers. • Sweeping and mopping the departure bays, along with cleaning the glass doors. • Mopping and vacuuming of the hotel rooms along with washing linens and towels. • Cleaning the shop office windows, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash and mopping floor. • Cleaning the fuel pump, picking up trash around dumpsters and property and watering plants and shrubbery as needed. • Clean interior of buses and move as necessary. Required Qualifications: • Current, valid driver’s license. • Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role. • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components. • Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices. • Attention to detail and conscientiousness. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend and sit. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
