Job Description: Woodshop Machine Operator Description: Machine operator of automated woodworking equipment in custom millwork shop. Qualifications: Must have extensive hands-on operator knowledge of Holzma beam saw. Experience with CNC, dowel, and edgebanding machines is a definite plus. Experience: 5 years’ experience on beam saw and other equipment. 5 years hands-on woodworking experience preferred Skills: Strong organizational skills required. Must be a self-starter and work independently with a strong sense of urgency. Must be willing to learn other machines as well as work in any department as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operate Holzma beam saw. Operate other equipment as well as hand tools in a safe, Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures. Ability to assist in the improvement of SOPs. Operate forklift. Have valid driver’s license and be able to drive company pick up and box truck. Produce quality components in accordance with the Quality Management system. Attend planning, scheduling meetings as necessary with Operations Manager Be the responsible party for timely preventative and scheduled maintenance for machinery. Perform all daily maintenance and clean-up duties for machinery and department as directed by supervisor. Ability to clock into correct jobs and report job status in company software. Work with Inventory Control to ensure accurate and correct inventory of stock and custom materials. Ability to work in any department as required in custom millwork environment.
