Description
My Great, Great Grandfather, was soldier with the Union Army in 1863. I know
this from my heritage, and family history. He fought to free the slaves, and gave
his life doing so. My question is, am I to receive any sort of Government compensation,
or reparation, regarding his death for his devotion to free the slaves? I know in today's
world, if a soldier gets killed in the line of duty, his family is compensated for his demise.
Just asking..
