We design and build high end custom decks and porches in the Northeast. We are looking for motivated Professional Carpenters and Apprentices to help with our deck and porch construction. This is year round employment. We are looking to hire individuals who are honest, hard working and willing to learn the process in which we build our decks and porches. You will need a valid drivers license, ability to work independently, and be very detailed in all aspects of building. Be capable of working an 8 hour work day, M-F and overtime when needed. Lead carpenters will supervise an apprentice after initial training. You will ensure that all employees are working efficiently to limit waste and maximize efficiency. The carpenter positions should be a leader, trainer, and motivator. Given the current conditions with COVID-19, you would generally work with a small crew of 1 or 2 other carpenters. Key aspects and knowledge of the job are as follows: The carpenter will have sufficient knowledge and ability to build decks ranging from 4' x 4' Landings with stairs to much larger decks and porches. Carpenters must be proficient in cutting and hanging stringers, framing, and working independently. Carpenter apprentices should have experience with power tools, general knowledge in framing and finish with some experience, as well as basic tools. Training will be provided to tune into our system of building. All perspective candidates must be capable of lifting and installing pressure treated lumber of all dimensions. We build many standard models of decks and porches, as well as, full custom projects. We strive to employ happy, eager, and hard working individuals. Existing teams are also encouraged to apply. Weekly fuel reimbursements are also included for lead carpenters who possess truck or van with lumber racks and tow-hitch for moving Trailers.
