Ferndale Farmstead Creamery is looking for a full-time person to work in our shipping department and assist in the shipping area while working together with the production team to meet our company demands. We are looking for an energetic, quick thinker, problem solver, and can keep up in a fast paced environment individual! Key Responsibilities will include: Packaging cheese Labeling Cheese Boxing and Palletizing orders Creating packing slips/invoices Assisting with local deliveries Receiving incoming product, food ingredients, and being the last line of defense for our rigorous Food Safety program at Ferndale Farmstead Ensure Inventory is received properly in quick books Maintain Food Safety Trace-ability System Experience: Prior Experience in shipping is desired Ability to work in a quick paced environment Ability to work with a diverse culture group Ability to work unsupervised Strong Communication Skills Ability to operate a forklift Detailed Oriented Pay will be DOE Minimum Qualifications/Educational Requirements • High School Diploma or GED Required Skills/Attributes • Minimum of 1-2 years quality-oriented experience in a production facility • Minimum of 1 year of Managerial Experience in Shipping & Receiving Department • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds routinely. • Ability to operate forklift • Good driving record Preferred Qualifications: • Detail oriented • Strong communication skills • Goal-Oriented • Team player with diverse group of people • Bilingual in Spanish & English Hours: This position is required to work M-F an average of 45-50 hrs per week Pay: Pay is determined on experience but FFC strives in competitive wages.
