Description

I am looking for a medium to small dog to add to our family. We have a 3yr old labrador, and a 14yr old beagle, who is near the end of her life. When we had to have my dog euthanized 2 years ago, the lab did not take it well, and I worry about her when it will be the beagle's time to go, which I feel is soon. I am a stay at home mom, and homeschool our 2 kiddos, age 10 and 7. They are animal smart, and not allowed to be rough with our pets. When I am not at home, the lab usually comes with me or stays at home with my husband and kiddos, she is rarely left alone. We have 4 acres in a rural area for them to call home. No physical fence, but we have an invisible fence if we need to use it. The dogs are allowed on our beds, even though they have several of their own. The dog must be okay with kids and cats. Potty training preferred, but not a deal breaker. However, any form of aggression is. I would love a younger dog, but not necessarily a puppy. It would be nice for the lab to have another dog to play with, as the beagle has NEVER played with her. It would be great if the dog loves car rides, we would love to be able to take them places with us again. (We haven't been able to due to the beagles health) I would like a dog 60lbs or less, but I am open to whatever breed, and actually prefer mutts. I am willing to pay a reasonable rehoming fee. I am not willing to pay $300+ for a dog I will still have to have spayed/neutered. If I was, I would just go to a breeder. I would rather give a dog who needs a home a chance. I am also in no hurry to get a dog just because. I want it to be the right fit for the dog, and for our family. If you think you might have the right dog, please email me.
