The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services and construction fields is currently hiring for the following position in the Galena Park, TX area: Industrial Forklift Mechanic Successful Candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of current experience in the industrial sector and have Mechanical knowledge of industrial front-end loaders and forklifts. Candidates must be able to perform Maintenance and repairs on trucks, front-end loaders, forklifts, and other equipment. Candidates need a mechanical mindset and must be able to operate shop and yard equipment such as a forklift and a yard Mule. Candidates need a knowledge of automotive mechanisms such as: suspension, air, breaks, lighting, and engine components, as well as, replacing damaged parts with new parts, either bolt on or by welding. Candidates will perform bimonthly preventative maintenance on all equipment in the fleet and perform annual inspections and maintenance on all fleet components. Candidates will inspect equipment daily, complete daily work orders, complete yard checks and clean equipment on a daily basis. Other tasks may include, spot repairs, frame fabrication and setting, and updating all components of the fleet to the customer’s standards. Candidates need a working knowledge of computer functions such as; Excel, Email, and printing. Candidates will provide their own hand tools and be able to use tools provided such as large diameter tools and impact wrenches. Candidates must be able to pass a standard fit test, work on their feet for 10+ hours a day, climb up and down trailers multiple times and be physically fit enough to lift objects over shoulder level as needed.
