Darby Day Staffing is looking for a receptionist in the Houston area.
Job Summary:
Serves as first point of contact for all inbound calls and visitors. Standard central receptionist setup with 6-line phone system. Responsible for maintaining various general administrative records and perform general office tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer, screen, route, and take messages for busy multi-line phone systems
• Discreetly handle confidential information and compose memos, letters, and emails
• Various office support functions: file, photocopy documents, scan, process, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
• Supports other departments as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties include but are not limited to: process incoming and outgoing mail via U.S. Mail, FedEx, etc. including maintaining postage meter and supplies; monitor and maintain office supplies; maintain calendar and schedule meeting and luncheons, etc. Create and maintain computerized databases on various projects such as client lists, project lists, etc. as appropriate to departmental functions.
• Reconcile landfill statements and credit card receipts
• Assist Controller and CFO with various miscellaneous administrative tasks
Required Education and Experience:
• Required high school Diploma and / or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years administrative and front desk experience in fast paced environments
• Friendly, courteous, and tactful demeanor dealing with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and to operate office related equipment such as computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English
