Rehoming 1yr old pup due to divorce

Tex just turned one on 3/21 and is 60lbs (neutered male). He is a great dog, but due to the tension and changes in our household because of a divorce, Tex has become overly protective of myself and my three children. He won’t let any strangers (including my children’s friends) come around us. He goes to doggy daycare 5 days a week and loves everyone there, even the new employees. However, if I have him on a leash around new people, he will growl and snap at them (he has never actually bitten anyone). With all of the children that come over to my house, I can’t have an overly protective dog. He would make a great companion for a single or elderly person. He loves to swim in lakes/ponds (not pools) and is wonderful with other dogs (very submissive). I have all of his vet records, including DNA testing. He is potty trained and his crate goes with him. My kids and I really need to find him a loving home, this is very sad for us. Small rehoming fee for his safety.
