Kuungana, established in 2010, is a local marimba band playing complex interlocking rhythms inspired by traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean music. It is music to DANCE to! We play for the love of the music and the culture, we practice regularly, and love performing. Aja moved to Wisconsin and Joe just left for Portland, leaving Rachel, Rachael, John and Deb looking for new band mates to perform with us this summer (before further travels and life changes once again transform us). In the past we have played at WWU, Elizabeth Park, Boulevard Park and at a number of private parties and gatherings. Go to kuungana.org to see who we've been.
