ESTABLISHED AND LOCAL TREE COMPANY LOOKING FOR A HARDWORKING, GROUNDSMAN. ENTRY LEVEL OR EXPERIENCED. Requirements are as follows: 1. Valid, insurable driver's license. (CDL a plus). 2. Physical skill set to work hard 8 hours a day, pushing, pulling,or dragging 50 plus pounds at times. 3. Understand how to safely operate machinery such as chippers, stump grinders and chainsaws. 4. Must be willing and able to learn basics knots to efficiently work with the climber in the tree for the transfer of tools and materials. 5. The candidate should be able to identify job site hazards, be able to problem solve to make the jobs go smoothly, efficiently and safely. 6. The candidate will be responsible for driving trucks with trailers and a chipper behind them to and from the job site and backing them into positions safety and timely. 7. Must be able to navigate through traffic and find addresses, either by GPS or map. 8. The Groundsman will be responsible for keeping the job site clean during and after while the climbers perform their duties. 9. Experience in the tree industry is a plus but not required. Starting pay will between $14-$20 per hour depending on skill set, motivation and experience.
