Description
We have a young gorgeous quaker. His name is Bobby, he is approximately 2 years old. He is the cutest and friendliest little guy. He was rescued 4 months ago due to his owner falling into some hardship, his owner was aware of the work we've done in the past and is aware that once Bobby would be rehabilitated he would start searching for his new home. We have been working with him ever since then. His diet made a huge progress, from only seeds to being fed a healthy chop diet and pellets. He has been vet checked and got blood work done. He is very healthy and we got the green light from our vet for Bobby to start looking for his new forever home. When he was rescued he had been plucking from stress, he didn't have the appropriate size cage, no activities and no toys so this made him stay busy plucking away, since he's been with us he's made lots of progress gaining most of his feathers back. Regular misting baths, showers and steam baths have helped him start growing beautiful healthy feathers in combionation with his healthy diet. He's received lots of love and proper attention. And we want him to find a home where they can continue this. Bobby has this huge heart and he is very welcoming with everyone. He is allowed to free fly indoors and he will always find a way to fly towards you and asked for scratches and kisses. Bobby is looking for a home that can provide him with lots of love and attention. Although he is very independent when left in his cage with toys, he enjoys playing, and we have reached a perfect balance when he is in his cage he knows everyone is busy at the moment and its best for him to be in his cage, but most of the day he spends time outside his cage. He loves watching YouTube videos on the iPad. or playing with his favorite foot toys. Bobby is. also a great talker, he knows how to say, whatcha doin? hi! hello there, come here, you want a treat? We also spent a lot. of time target training Bobby, which would be great if continued since he is so food oriented its a great thing because he is willing to do anything for food. He has learned to rollover, spin and wave. Bobby has been conditioned to be used to a household setting, he's been around many other birds, pets like dogs and cats and children. He will be a great addition to a family that wants to provide Bobby with a chance of having a normal life again. Bobby will have an adoption fee which is to cover half of the cost of the care provided to him. This is an opportunity to adopt for those with experience, although we will take applicants that are new to owning a bird (we all were there one day) its on a case to case basis. Only serious inquiries. If you can email us why you think Bobby would be a great addition to your family, Who will share the same home?, What is your bird experience? Do you have any other birds?, and do you have any questions regarding Bobby?
