We are currently looking for a Commercial Drivers License (Class A) Sand Truck Drivers to fill vacant positions and join our team of committed individuals. The ideal candidates should hold a valid CDL Class A driver’s license and minimum of 2 years verifiable recent truck driving experience. Responsibilities of the CDL Class A Truck Driver Pick up and Deliver materials in a timely manner while safely operating company vehicles Drive trucks with a capacity of 3 tons or more to transport materials and equipment to various job sites throughout a work day Manage proof of delivery paperwork from customers. Assist workers in loading and unloading trucks. Check mechanical aspects of the vehicle and insure maintenance is up to date Fill in as Laborer as needed Other duties as assigned. Requirements of the CDL Class A Truck Driver Must be at least 21 years of age or 3 years of driving experience and hold a valid CA issued Class A Commercial Driver´s License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements Minimum of 2 years verifiable recent truck driving experience No more than 2 moving violations or 3 points in last 2 years, and no major violations; DUI, reckless driving etc., in the last 5 years Current Medical Card Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening. Must have a clean DMV record and able to be added to our insurance policy. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position lifts heavy objects up to 50 pounds by themselves, more than pounds with assistance not to exceed 100 lbs. The position walks, stands, kneels and bends for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Most work is located within the Central Valley. Weekly hours will average 45+/- dependent on weather and business demands.
