Job Description OVERVIEW: I am looking for someone with experience repairing/installing residential garage doors. The volume of work is relatively low and one could expect a door or two a month to install. This gig is great for someone who has extensive background in repairing or installing garage doors, is currently working for an overhead company, and is just looking for a little extra work when things get slow. REQUIREMENTS: - Truck with rack for carrying doors - Set of tools (all that is necessary to install a door) - Cell phone - Customer service oriented COMPETENCIES AND SKILL SET: - Ability to move or lift 90 plus pounds - Strong customer service skills be able to drive customer service needed for 5-star service - Strong communication skills, be able to consistently and effecivly communicate with the O'Brien Garage Doors office RESPONSIBILITIES: - Be available by phone to coordinate a time to install a customers door with the O'Brien Garage Doors office - For example, when a door is sold, the O'Brien office would simply need to be able to call you and work out a time within the next week that you could install the garage door - Thoroughly communicate with the office to do the following: - Schedule date of install - Inform office of when you are on the way to the door vendor on the day of install, so they can have the door ready for pick up - Dispatch to the customers house, IE let the office know that you are ready to dispatch to the job, and wait for the office to confirm that the customer is home and ready for your arrival - Receive payments for customers doors on site IE calling in a credit card number over the phone to the office
