Austin Pup Culture is a dog daycare and boarding facility in North Central Austin, looking for an experienced professional to join our team as an assistant manager. All applicants must be positive, friendly, and able to work in a team-based environment. It is a great opportunity to interact with dogs of all shapes and sizes and their human parents! The role of the Assistant Manager position will be to provide support to both the Front Managers and the Back Manager, with shifts split evenly between managing the front desk as well as running play groups as a shift lead. The ideal candidate with have extensive knowledge on dog behavior and monitoring group play as well as experience with (human) customer service. Assistant Manager Duties: - Reception: Check-in, check-out, paperwork and data entry, reservations, answering calls, accepting payments. - Maintaining good customer relations - Maintaining and auditing financial records - Enforcing and representing company policies and mission - Plan and allocate all daycare and boarding schedules - Leading Play Shifts: cleaning, feeding, play groups, grooming, walking etc. - Building and facilitating play groups to keep all dogs SAFE and happy - Maintaining a clean environment so all dogs stay healthy - Feeding and administering medication - Light grooming activities including bathing and nail trims Qualifications: - Must have extensive experience with dog handling, dog behavior, and basic canine health. - Managerial applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in a dog daycare/boarding environment with monitoring large play groups - Must have at least 2 years of customer service experience. - Must have excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail and ability to multi-task - Must be PUNCTUAL and RELIABLE. - Must have reliable transportation- Positive, energetic, friendly, driven, self-motivated, organized, and dependable with a focus on customer service. - Must be very skilled with computers: Microsoft Office Suite savvy and the ability to learn kennel software quickly - Physically able to lift at least 50lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time. - Must have a flexible schedule to be available for weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays!) and all major holidays (365 days/year), as well be available on-call when needed.
