What we do: grading, Paving, Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Septic and Mound systems, Pond Construction and Repair. CONSTRUCTION OPERATOR • Operate heavy equipment as may be assigned, such as, but not limited to: backhoes, dozers, excavators, skid steer loaders, compactors and paving, surfacing and asphalt spreader equipment. • Comply with Company and Manufacturer operating safety rules and regulations. • Fuel, grease and clean equipment of all trash at end of shift. • Communicate with dispatch daily to confirm next day’s assignment. SKILLS & TRAITS • Maintain ethical standards of the highest level. • Professional demeanor, appearance and attitude. • Working knowledge in handling heavy equipment such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Ingersoll Rand, and Komatsu machines. • Physical fitness required to handle heavy equipment controls. • 1 to 3+ years in commercial construction. • A post-secondary Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation or a 2-3 year apprenticeship in the operation of heavy equipment is preferred.
