Description
I rescued a colony of feral kittens and cats four and a half years ago and have been keeping them in my family room. We finally began socializing them in a separate room a few months ago and now have two available for adoption. The Maine Coon female is Chinchilla or Chin Chin for short.
Chin Chin is about 5 years old. Like most Maine Coons, she's larger than many cats. She's a gorgeous gray and white tuxedo. I called her Chinchilla because her coat is so luxurious and, when it parts, you can see it goes from gray to white near her skin.
She's very silly and playful and will supply your family with endless entertainment, once she gets used to you. Expect her to be skittish and hide from you for a few weeks at least. If you put down treats twice a day, eventually she'll get closer. Once she's used to you she'll want to be stroked and scratched around her neck before you give her treats.
Her favorite toys are the feather and worm teasers (https://smile.amazon.com/Interactive-Retractable-Replacements-Telescopic-Exercise/dp/B07RY9P7GD/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=cat+toys&s=pet-supplies&sr=1-12). She also likes to chase balls. When you use the teasers, don't have anything breakable around. She becomes so engaged she doesn't always watch where she's going and will run right into doors and furniture.
She will require an experienced cat person to help her slowly adjust to a new home. Once she's adjusted, you'll have a wonderful companion.
We want her to be an indoor-only cat. I've found over my many years as a cat owner, my cats live longer and healthier lives when they stay indoors.
If you think you are the right person for Chin Chin, I look forward to hearing from you.
A re-homing fee of $50 is required.
