Description
We are a family owned business that has been in business for over forty years. Our warehouse team will consist of a manager and an assistant. The manager will work closely with the production manager, installers, service techs, sales people, customers, and drivers. The tasks are varied and we need someone who can both do the work and help organize all material operations, doing everything possible to support the production manager and make their job easier. The successful applicant will have the ability to put together programs AND execute them (i.e. put together a cycle count schedule, help set stock levels, and create orders for authorization). We are ready to “level-up” our warehouse operations and looking for someone who will take the lead and deliver results. REQUIRED: Do not apply unless you can demonstrate the following: • expert forklift skills • capability to organizing a warehouse (bringing order to chaos) • experience in leading cycle counts, setting inventory levels, and making orders (including computer literacy) • have an excellent memory and a strong work ethic • have a clean DMV • have supervisory experience • have excellent references ADDITIONAL DETAILS: • Receive, store, and organize materials in a warehouse type environment • Pick orders including some sub-assembly, occasional sanding, and rattle can painting • Bench service work using small tools • Receiving, unloading and shipping • Inventory & cycle counts • Maintain the yard including grounds keeping • Clean warehouse space & associated restrooms DELIVERY & INSTALLATION ASSISTANCE • Pick up orders from suppliers. • Deliver orders via pallet jack to customers • Sometimes assist installation teams setting units in place and other tasks. Must be comfortable working on ladders. • Our products are heavy and hand lifting is sometimes necessary. Need to be in strong physical condition and have knowledge of proper lifting techniques. QUALIFICATIONS • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record mandatory • Minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training • Minimum 2 years forklift experience • Ability to continuously lift and carry 50 lbs and occasionally lift 75 lbs. • Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner. • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently work to accomplish them • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment, supporting and explaining reasoning for decisions, including appropriate people in decision-making process, and making timely decisions • Ability to pass a background screening. COMPENSATION • $18-22 an hour • Full medical coverage for employee, partial for family • Paid vacation and sick leave • Bonus/profit sharing based on efforts and company profitability
