It’s a movie that forever changed what we think of wine tasting... ...and sent sales of pinot noir soaring (while single-handedly destroying the Merlot market). Everyone was drinking Merlot in California until 2004, when the movie came out. The film Sideways became a cult classic among wine enthusiasts since it’s release, and here at ko-ze, we're going to prove why Merlot should be a staple in everyone's wine cooler or cellar. We will feature 5 incredible high-end Merlot producers and share the stories behind the wines. Light bites will also be served to each table. Matt Morin with Cream Wine Company, a cornerstone member here at ko-ze wine room, will walk us through the tasting.
