GENERAL DESCRIPTION This is a position in which the employee will perform advanced maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and other general maintenance activities. Requires thorough knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the maintenance field. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of independent judgment in planning and accomplishing assignments. This position is almost exclusively in the field performing repairs to our portfolio assets in the greater Savannah metro area. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Perform all assigned renovation and maintenance tasks in a timely manner. Assess any maintenance issues not written on work order and determine best action. Purchase maintenance supplies needed for each work order assigned. Provide repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, exterior repairs, light HVAC. All in a safe manner. Trouble shoot HVAC issues and take appropriate action. Respond to emergency work orders as needed. Other duties as may be assigned ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to adhere to standard procedures and practices. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Possess a positive attitude. Demonstrate leadership qualities. Take the lead to help create a positive work environment. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Must possess a valid drivers license and have reliable mode of transportation. Ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment, and to be adaptable. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Ability to work without supervision.
