Join the Cowtown Aggies as we serve our city at the Tarrant Area Food Bank! If you like to see directly where your service is helping, this is the volunteer opportunity for YOU! Tarrant Area Food Bank provides food, including fresh produce and nutritious refrigerated items, directly to communities in high need. Volunteers roles may include but are not limited to: • Greeter and line monitor • Registration Assistant • Parking Lot Attendant • Shopper Assistant • Set up/Clean up • Carrying Groceries to Vehicles Individuals as young as 8 years old are invited to volunteer; however, ages 8-14 years old MUST have an adult chaperone. Volunteers must be able to lift 10 pounds, stands for periods at a time and work outside. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes, clean comfortable clothing, and WEAR A MASK. You may also want to bring a hat, sunscreen and water. If you have plastic grocery sacks you can bring for the community to use to take home produce, we would love if you could bring them with you! We appreciate all our volunteers!
