Description
PEABODY, MA — Last year's October snow means a lot of leftover leaves on some Peabody lawns this spring.
Residents will have four chances to get rid of the refuse this spring with the city scheduling a quartet of free curbside pick-up days for yard waste and April 5, April 26, May 3 and May 17.
Residents can leave the leaves out on the regular trash day in paper bags or barrels. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be accepted.
The waste management company may pick up regular trash first and then return later in the day for the yard waste. Peabody does not charge for curbside leaf collection.
Yard wast may also be brought to the Department of Public Services on Farm Avenue any weekday during regular business hours.
The recycling center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
