An established Anchorage pet cremation business is seeking a driver/expediter/back-up cremation operator for part-time work 5-6 days per week for approximately 4-5 hours per day. Salary DOE. A clean driving record and 25+ years of age are mandatory requirements. The position requires a self-directed and responsible individual seeking a somewhat flexible schedule during regular day-time business hours. Key responsibilities include:  Regular pick-ups at local veterinary clinics, office, and airport and as needed  Regular return of cremated remains to office and veterinary clinics  Very careful record-keeping of pick-ups in coordination with clinics and cremation technician  Attentive and timely communication with office, clinic personnel, and clients  Periodic office-related driver errands and other tasks as needed  Infrequent back-up cremation system operation (with additional commensurate hours) Necessary Qualifications:  Very high standards of personal integrity and work ethic  Attention to job-related hygiene and safety  Ability to carefully bend and frequently lift up to 75 lbs alone for placement on cart/in truck and more with requested clinic and facility assistance  Very careful driving habits  Positive and professional attitude  Strong communication skills  Compassion and empathy  Diligent and self-motivated with excellent time management skills  Commitment to team approach to responsibilities and business mission This is an “Essential Position” in support of veterinary services.
