Description
I have a few oops babies from an accidental litter. They are 7 weeks old, 3 girls and 4 boys. Typically dwarfs aren’t adopted until they are four months old due to their small size and fragility. I’m posting this now in search of some adopters who are familiar with raising dwarfs. If you do not have experience raising them, please note that dwarf rats are fast and very fragile. They are approximately 1/3 the size of standard rats. I would not recommend them for homes with young children. Despite their small size, they require the same larger enclosures as regular rats, but with special consideration for smaller bar spacing. Critter Nation, Martin’s Cages, or diy enclosures with rubber totes and wire work well.
