A maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installations HVAC and, the upkeep of the landscape. Essentially, the goal of a maintenance technician is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition. Maintenance technicians can work in a variety of settings including commercial and residential buildings. Generally, maintenance technicians have a high school diploma with a certification in HVAC or HVAC experience.
