Description

"We Gon Be Alright" is a space for open dialogue about the spiritual shifts millennials face as they develop their own faith journey. "We Gon Be Alright: Discussions on being young, spiritual, and Black" was birthed out of the notion that young, Black millennials are at a spiritual crossroads. Most millennials grew up religious and somewhere along the way had questions about the God or the faith of their parents' and wanted to experience God for themselves, but might not have had the language or even understanding on how to do so. The purpose of the 3-part panel discussion is to focus on how our faith has evolved, how we perform our spiritual practices in modern society, and how we are able to create community through those practices, and ultimately to unpack how finding our own spiritual practices help us to heal our trauma and provide a voice for our stories.
