Description

We are looking for a dedicated, self motivated person to manager a turkey farm. The farm manager is responsible for raising 77,000 poults from 1 day of age until they are moved to growout facilities. Daily Duties • Check the birds and barns multiple times per day • Read all feed bins. • Report to supervisor by 8am each day with bird information and bin readings • Effectively utilize barn control systems to properly control barn ventilation, litter conditions, and various equipment in the barns • Till and pitch litter and spread shavings as needed in barns to maintain proper conditions • Perform noon and night checks daily • Observe, report and react to changes in bird health and activity Other Duties and Responsibilities • Vaccinate birds on schedule • Provide birds with proper medications and supplements through the water system • Keep accurate mortality and medication records • Repair and maintain a variety of equipment • Operate a variety of farm equipment • Prepare for, organize, and lead the dumping of poults and moving of birds to finish site • Clean, wash, and disinfect barns after each flock • Maintain farm grounds (mow, trim, snow removal) • Plan tasks and chores for the upcoming week If interested please call Matt at 320-250-3441 between 8 am and 6 pm to apply.
