Press release from the Washington Township: 2021-03-19 Washington Township Recreation is pleased to offer "Abrakadoodle Art Classes!" Using techniques that include painting, college, and sketching, we travel the world to find interesting art forms. Our view of the world takes us to ancient Egypt to create a mummy, and to France to study the artistic style of Pierre Bonnard who creates a warm and tranquil view of the countryside looking out windows. Then we are off to the high seas to create waves and ocean waters in the style of Winslow Homer. We will also learn about Portuguese artist Leonor Brazao, and her musical inspired abstract art. The classes will be held on Monday's beginning May 3rd-24th at the outdoor Rock Spring Park Pavilion, Long Valley. The Mini Doodlers from ages 3-5 yrs. are scheduled to meet at 3:15-4pm and the Doodlers; Ages 6-12 yrs. at 4:15pm-5:15pm. Please act fast by registering with a non-refundable fee due before April 23, 2021. Each participant must fill out a waiver form.
