Assemblers - Large Assembly Mankato, MN 6 months Temp to Perm: (Contract to Direct / PERM) Resources can be converted to Full Time (Direct / Perm) Employees after they have worked 720 hours. Conversion to direct hire is not guaranteed and will depend on performance however the goal is to convert resources from contract to permanent. US Citizen Drug Test Background Check FORKLIFT/HOIST work is NOT REQUIRED for contractors. *Steel Toe Boots are REQUIRED while working 1st Shift (6:00AM to 4:30PM) Schedule: Monday through Thursday - 10/hr Work Day & Friday Overtime is REQUIRED Client is looking for 6 Assemblers for a 1st shift CONTRACT-TO-HIRE opportunity. Job Summary This position assembles generator sets and sub-assemblies that include both standard and non-standard product lines. This will require using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques. Job Functions (Essential) 1. Work from build book and required drawings- electrical and dimensional and other work instructions 2. Work safely on products of similar design where methods and procedures are similar 3. Proceed within minimum supervision and direction on products standardized or relative in design; instructions and guidance provided on new work, unusual variations and difficulties 4. Recognized obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality 5. Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures. Procedures can be found on our company intranet 6. Other tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor 7. Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Client Code of Conduct 8. Performs special projects as required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required: 1. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal. 2. Ability to work with simple mathematical figures and calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplications, problem solve, percentages and to apply other forms when required 3. Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. 4. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools 5. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently Preferred: 1.
