Spend your afternoon getting a good workout in a nice, climate-controlled environment. Help out a local Austin business; and get paid at closing time. Sounds like a pretty good deal, right? Large North-Central furniture store needs a LOT of furniture moved within the showroom and the warehouse. We’re seeking at least 2-3 people to help our existing staff. PROJECT HOURS: 12 noon to 6 pm. STARTS TUESDAY, MARCH. 23. MAY RUN SEVERAL DAYS- depending on progress. You will be helping to safely move a large quantity of furniture between the showroom and attached warehouse at the direction of the project manager. Some items will need to be wrapped carefully for pickup, and loaded into customer vehicles. New arrivals will have to be unloaded from trucks, unwrapped, and arranged into groupings in the showroom. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet and knows how to lift and move over 50lbs repeatedly without causing damage to themselves, the furniture, or the surroundings. Requirements: • Able to pass background check • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Speaks and understands English. • Works well with team and moves items carefully • MUST follow all health and safety procedure and regulations. WE STRICTLY FOLLOW GUIDELINES FOR COVID-19 SAFETY. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. Special project will run from 12 noon to 6pm each day for several days.
