Qualifications • US work authorization (Required) • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred) • English (Preferred) • Forklift Certification (Preferred) BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for verifying quality and quantity of freight received, verifying conformance to specifications, and unloading freight. Inspects, accepts or rejects material received. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Stocks freight in appropriate location with correct labeling. Keeps bin labels updated with pertinent information. Keeps pallets neatly stocked at all times. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or item number. Determines methods of storage, identification and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space. Reads fuel pumps daily and records readings in the daily gas log. Greets all employees and visitors coming into the warehouse and assists them when needed Fills orders or issues supplies from stock. Maintains forklift, checking oil and fluids daily. Keeps forklift clean and reports mechanical problems to Supervisor. Keeps grounds cleared of all trash and debris. Responsible for counting inventory items daily and reporting any deviations in his counting to the Supervisor for corrections. Assist City employees when loading materials checked out of inventory for construction of water, sewer and electric lines. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds alone. Knowledge of construction tools and electrical/plumbing parts preferred.
