Det. Justin Breton named Manchester Police Officer of the Year

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg announced on Monday that Det. Justin Breton was selected as Manchester Police Department Officer of the Year. Breton has been with MPD since 2010, and Aldenberg said, "During his time here he has always been a consummate professional and proven to have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others." He has been a patrol officer, juvenile detective, detective with the Special Investigation Division, and a SWAT negotiator. Breton was instrumental in the creation of the Manchester Police Critical Incident Stress Management Team and has since become the director of the team. Breton also was the driving force behind the formation of the Manchester Association of Police Comfort Dogs and is the primary handler of Manchester's Comfort Dog "Patch." Aldenberg said with every assignment, Breton has demonstrated unwavering integrity, thoroughness, and always has a positive attitude. For all these reasons, he is well-deserving of this award. The award will be presented to Detective Breton at a ceremony to be held on Wednesday at the Manchester Police Athletic League.
