SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Sig-alert was issued Monday morning in Sonoma at the site of a fatality on State Highway 12 north, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident involved a pedestrian and was first reported at 8 a.m. Monday on westbound SR-12 just east of Verano Avenue in El Verano, the CHP said. At 12:30 p.m., all lanes of traffic remained blocked in both directions. The Sonoma Police Department handled the investigation, according to CHP. Further details were not immediately available.
