Description

As a skilled laborer/pipe layer you will work on a construction crew, shoveling, cutting pipe, backfilling, and leveling material. As a skilled laborer you will also be called upon to operate some equipment including rollers, off-road haul trucks, and skid-steers. Responsibilities: • Backfill trenches and holes with the use of shovels and compactors. • Hand shoveling to locate buried utilities. • Moving and/or cutting material such as pipe and conduit on the job site with the use of a pipe saw. • Work in the trench as a pipe layer to install water pipe, storm drain, sewer pipe, and electrical conduit. • Installation of light pole bases. • Operate rollers, off-road haul trucks, and skid steers in a safe manner. • Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Be able to use a rotary laser effectively. • Consistently show up to work every day. • Interested in pursuing additional construction industry training is a plus.
