Fast-growing Westland-based company looking to hire experienced and reliable workers for full-time employment. We are fully insured and pride ourselves on the safety of our crew and equipment. Job offers year-round work for tree work, landscape, and commercial snow removal. We pay based on experience and are in the need of the following position: Job Description: Landscape team members are responsible for prepping and loading the truck with all necessary tools and equipment, defining the staging areas and safe zones on site while keeping the job site clean. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Landscape team members are responsible for the daily preparation, safety and overall cleanliness of each job. Additional responsivities include: • Set up and clean up, and taking good care of our trucks and machinery. • Working as part of a team. • Setting up safety items including positioning cones and signs and roping or taping off crew work areas where necessary. • Operate a zero turn and walk behind mower. • Operate a weed whip, backpack blower, and stick edger. • All operations, job sites and employees are safe and that the general public which might come into contact with the area will be safe. • Communicating effectively with other crew members and the public. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often. • Dependable and able to safely work with landscape equipment. • Must have an understanding of landscape basics. PREFERRED SKILLS • Chauffer’s Driver’s License. • CDL Driver’s License would be a plus. • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
