What "red tape"? Funny thing is, Coronavirus vaccine's have been around in the US since 2001-2002. The Trump Administration was notified in the FALL OF 2019 about a rapidly moving virus out of China. A full year later, there was hope for a vaccine. But WHAT "red tape" did he cut that the Bush and Obama Administration had already begun years ago? Why is Trump any different if work had been already done by others? "Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) emerged in China in 2002 and spread to other countries before brought under control. Because of a concern for reemergence or a deliberate release of the SARS coronavirus, vaccine development was initiated." Today's Covid19 is SARS-Cov-2, or the second iteration of this virus strain. NOBODY can claim we've not seen anything like it before, we have. The Obama Administration dealt with Coronavirus vaccines in 2014-2016 Ebola outbreak, along with SARS, Swine Flu and Zika Coronaviruses. Never heard anything about needing to "cut red tape" (very likely, a Trump lie). Why didn't Trump enact the full National Defense Production Act including actions ordering public companies to manufacture PPE, masks etc? He had the power under that Act to ensure the whole country or the whole world had enough masks, surgical gowns, basically all the stuff that he complained about in early 2017 saying "Obama emptied the stock/supply". Well, Obama faced more natural disasters and Trump knew/whined it was depleted in 2017. Yet Trump NEVER restocked after whining until mid 2020 (3.5 years), when it was much too late. The Vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) were already developed and available by the time Trump announced HE had funds available so he could take some credit for what, I don't know. They were funded by each company and Trump reimbursed those 2 companies. But he never created or approved any vaccine. The President does not make medical approvals. The President doesn't get "credit" for a vaccine. That's stolen valor from the manufacturers. We have an FDA, NIH and others that handles approval. Dr Trump is a lying schmuck. WHAT RED TAPE DID TRUMP CUT??
