WESTLAKE, OH — Three people broke into an apartment, tied up the residents and robbed them, Westlake police announced.
The three people were all captured on Friday, police said. Ryan Glass, 35, Kevin Williamson, 36, and Christina Brady, 26, have been charged with felony kidnapping and aggravated robbery. They are being held at Cuyahoga County Jail on a $200,000 bond, a Westlake police spokesperson told Patch.
On Friday morning, police were sent to the Columbia Colony Apartments on Center Ridge Road for an assault and robbery in progress. Witnesses said several men were involved and they were seen running away from the complex.
Police from neighboring cities were called and helped Westlake set up a perimeter around the complex. One of the suspects was found in the woods near the apartment complex and a second suspect was stopped at shopping complex on Canterbury and Center Ridge roads, police said. A third suspect was pulled over on Dover and Center Ridge roads, police said.
Both residents were freed by police and then taken to a hospital. Both residents were hurt during the break-in and needed to be treated for what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they believe the targeted apartment was specifically chosen. Williamson and Brady had prior contact with one of the victims, a Westlake police spokesperson told Patch.
