Join us for this installment of Backyard Farm School to learn everything you need to know about growing mushrooms in your garden! Instructor: Silvan Goddin, Grow Pittsburgh Learn how easy it is to grow gourmet mushrooms in your own backyard. Get an overview of the fascinating world of fungi and how you can incorporate their many attributes into your gardening. Participants will get a hands-on learning experience and go home with a mushroom log to grow their very own shiitakes, as well as the knowledge and resources to grow several other kinds of delicious and healthy mushrooms, such as wine cap, lion’s mane, and oyster. --- Backyard Farm School is an expanded monthly learning series, put on by Churchview Farm and Grow Pittsburgh. Farmers Tara (Churchview) and Hanna (Grow Pittsburgh) will be joined by local chefs and special guest farmers to lead this season-long workshop series.
