Cuddly polydactyl cat needs rehoming

Nemo is the most snuggly old man cat. He’s orange and has extra thumbs. He is 17 year old, loves to talk, responds to his name when called, and will sleep with you every night or sit with you anytime you’re lounging. My living situation is changing and it breaks my heart to need to rehome him. Realistically he needs more attention than I can give him or afford to give him as well. He’s got a lot of life in him. He takes thyroid medication twice a day & one wet food along with dry food. He’s a senior cat but is still extremely curious and loving. I’m very sad to need to re home him, I’m nervous that if I can’t I would have to take him to a shelter which would break his heart.
