At Alpenrose we bottle milk in gallons, half gallons, pints, quarts and school milk sizes as well as make cottage cheese and other blended dairy products for food manufacturers. As a Merchandiser, you will drive your personal vehicle to specific store locations on a designated route, enter the dairy cooler and place Alpenrose products on shelf inside the dairy cooler, ensuring that products are dated per guidelines and meet fresh requirements. The Merchandiser work schedule is based on retail store expectations and includes weekend and holiday work in all weather conditions. Responsibilities: - Driving to specific locations in your personal vehicle. - Follow Alpenrose standard procedures with each retail store. - Merchandising products in the Dairy Cooler to the shelf from crates. - Rotating products and managing/reducing unsaleable product. - Manage current stock and order weekly for stores. - Accurately manage all company paperwork and provide market data or insight when requested. - Successfully resolve store issues in a timely manner. - Work effectively and feel comfortable operating under minimal supervision. - Represent the Alpenrose brand with integrity and understand the core values. - Successful candidates are detail oriented and organized, who are either comfortable in learning how to order or have experience ordering product for retail stores. Schedule: This is a temporary full-time position that has the possibility of becoming a full-time permanent position.. Work schedule is dependent on the current available schedule. Schedule #1 – Wednesday and Thursday off. Start time 7am to finish of route equaling about 40 hours per week. Schedule #2 – Sunday and Monday off. Start time 7am to finish of route equaling about 40 hours per week. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for at least eight hours a day. - Previous DSD, grocery, or customer service experience preferred.
