INTELLIGENT DRUMMER WANTED w EAR/SKILLS

It shouldn't be a big ask, but I'm afraid it is.Need an educated musician whose instrument is the drum kit.Most drummers I've met are satisfied to keep a (any) beat, and are not playing the actual part, which requires the skill of listening and then understanding/translating it to your kit. I would actually prefer someone who has been playing in their basement/bedroom with headphones,.. starting---stopping...listening instead of a 'seasoned' drummer who plays in 3 'normal'(Mustang Sally) bands around town. The tunes are so ridiculously simple, he can sit down, play, get a nod for the ending, then on to a 20 minute Creedence or Hey Joe. This is a top level cover band with no rap,disco,screamo,metal,bubblegum,etc. We look for a unique eclectic array of tunes that have iconic syncopated beats(Steely Dan,etc) The ideal scenario for the right person: we have a completely furnished studio in no. county(by the coast) that includes a 5/6 piece Ludwig kit --Zildj K's on the hat,dual kick pedals, in-ear monitors, etc. I have audio samples. Hopefully you do as well.
