Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Sunday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
The Northeast Health District added 79 COVID-19 cases, more than double the number added on Sunday of last week.The seven-day rolling average of added cases jumped sharply in the District.The District added no deaths attributed to COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths was unchanged from Saturday.The seven-day rolling averages of added cases increased in both Oconee and Clarke counties, and both have an average of 12.0 cases per day, despite their large difference in population.The positivity rate for tests in Oconee County is nearly double that of Clarke County.North Oconee High School reported a positive COVID-19 test for "an individual" at the school, the ninth reported in the last eight days.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
