Join fellow AAMU local alums for a socially distanced meet and greet social at Rock Creek Park! The Washington, DC Chapter of the Alabama A&M University Alumni Association is hosting a socially distanced Spring Meet and Greet social! We invite local alums to join us in the park for a safe and fun afternoon of fellowship! DATE: Sunday, April 25, 2021 TIME: 12 PM (noon) - 3:30 PM (ET) LOCATION: Rock Creek Park - Picnic Grove 8, 696 Beach Dr. NW, Washington, DC COST TO ATTEND: FREE During the event, CDC and DC COVID guidelines will be followed. These include: correctly and consistently wearing a mask that completely covers your nose and mouth except when eating or drinking; maintain at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you; stay home if you are sick; and sanitize hands frequently. ALL ATTENDEES MUST REGISTER FOR THE EVENT IN ADVANCE. The event will have a maximum of 30 attendees. The Meet and Greet is a bring your own food and drink event. Grills are welcome in the park. We've partnered with a catering company to provide food for advance purchase ONLY. The following food options are available at a cost of $12 each for ADVANCE PURCHASE ONLY: (1) Grilled Chicken Caprese Wrap, (2) Roasted Veggie Pesto Wrap, and (3) Charcuterie Cup. The wraps will include kettle chips and a drink, and the charcuterie cup will include crackers and a drink. Advance food options must be purchased by April 19th.
