Need lyrics? I have them! Influences for the sets include classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Heart, Boston, Queen, The Doors). For those that are more lyrical, think Pink Floyd and Elton John. In the sets I write: • The subject may intentionally be ambiguous. Listeners might think, “Is it about an abstraction like eternity or about a guy looking for love?” • Gender can be ambiguous. We’re realizing that black-and-white distinctions of “he” and “she” don’t always fit. I write some lyrics where the gender is nonspecific or it shifts. • Empowerment, self-love, independence, and challenging the status quo are often the focus.
