JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A lane closure on I-20 began Monday morning due to road work near Leeds. The lane will remain closed through Saturday, according to a release from the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The right lane of I-20 westbound closed between mile marker 148 and marker 140 Monday morning. This lane between the Brompton exit and the Leeds exit will remain closed through March 27.
The closure is expected to cause significant delays and traffic impact this week, and motorists are asked to use an alternate route or adjust drive times accordingly.
