Reel Surf Fishing Tournament Categories & Payouts: $2500 Grand Prize for heaviest combined weight (1 Pompano, 1 Redfish, 1 Whiting) Bonus categories: Pomoano | Redfish | Whiting $250 prize value for largest fish in each category $100 prize value for 2nd largest fish in each category $50 prize value for 3rd largest fish in each category Pro Calcutta Division ($100 additional entry fee) winner (largest Pompano) : $1000 Reel Surf Fishing Tournament Rules: 1. Tournament Hours: Starts at 5:00 am, Friday, April 23, 2021, and ends at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 24, 2021. 2. Registration fees must be paid by 11:59 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Eventbrite.com, or in person at Bay Breeze Bait & Tackle. 3. Fish may only be caught onshore by rod and reel from the Pensacola Pass following the shoreline east to Cape San Blas. 4. Entries must be caught during posted tournament hours and must be weighed in at Bay Breeze Bait & Tackle, in Panama City Beach, by the designated weigh master. You must be in line with your catch by 4:00 pm on Saturday to be considered as a valid weigh-in. 5. Scales open at Bay Breeze Bait & Tackle on Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, no exceptions. The line for the weigh-in scales will close promptly at 6:00 pm and 4:00 pm, respectively. No further entries will be accepted. All those physically in the weigh-in line WITH THEIR ENTRIES at said times shall be allowed to weigh their entries. 6. Fish must be kept on ice to prevent spoilage. No frozen, drawn, chemically treated or spoiled fish will be accepted. The designated weigh master will inspect all entries for compliance. The Rules Committee will make any final determination of entry eligibility. Rules Committee rulings on fish eligibility are final and not subject to appeal. 7. All entries must comply with applicable Florida State Laws and Saltwater Regulations – no illegal entries will be accepted. Bay Breeze Bait & Tackle and event sponsors will not be responsible for the possession of illegal species or size by the contestants. 8. In the event of a tie in any category, the first fish weighed in will be declared the winner. 9. Each angler has a chance to win one prize. If an angler leads in multiple catagories, the angler will be awarded the highest valued category. The only exception to this relates to the Pro Calcutta division in which the winner of the Pro division can also be eleigible to win the Grand Prize. 10. The largest fish will be determined by weight. 11. Eligible species of fish and permit requirements subject to change depending upon applicable laws. 12. Weather: In the event that weather conditions arise deemed unsafe by the tournament officials, the tournament may be called off for that day. In such a case, alternate dates will be announced. Should both weekends be cancelled, all proceeds will be donated to the South Walton Artifical Reef Association (SWARA). 13. All prizes must be collected by winning anglers within thirty (30) days of the Awards Ceremony.
