25-Year-Old Man Killed In Roebuck Shopping Center Plaza Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting at the Roebuck Shopping Center Plaza Friday resulted i the death of a 25-year-old man. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. at the shopping center on Parkway East. Police say an argument in the parking lot escalated into gunfire, and both people involved in the argument were shot. Both were taken to UAB Hospital where 25-year-old Lazonathan Rhodes of Birmingham was pronounced dead. The other person is still hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department.
